In 2 Chronicles 31, King Hezekiah of Judah is praised for his faithfulness to God and his commitment to restoring the temple and its worship. Hezekiah is credited with restoring the temple and its services, as well as reinstituting the tithes and offerings that were due to the priests and Levites. Hezekiah also ordered the people to observe the Passover, which had been neglected for many years. The chapter goes on to describe how the people responded to Hezekiah's reforms. They were eager to obey the king's commands and brought their offerings to the temple. The offerings were so plentiful that the priests and Levites were unable to keep up with the demand. The chapter ends with a reminder that God is faithful to those who are faithful to Him. Hezekiah's faithfulness to God was rewarded with a long and prosperous reign. This is a reminder to us that if we are faithful to God, He will be faithful to us.
